Personal Boundaries On Social Media

I have to say that I am “old school” and counselling in general is not something I would want t take part in. This is in fact a perfect example as to how I and my life differs to that of my “adopted niece”. The reason the article was so poignant to me is that she and I have a very different attitude to life. I am not her parent so can take no responsibility for her up bringing but would have hoped to provide a role as a trusted outside “sounding board”. Some one who would let her try stuff in a safe environment with out the natural fear that parents have for their kids. So I suppose healthy debate falls into this category. The tumblr_lu3qyhLnFR1qhyhkoo1_500newspaper rang true as only a couple of weeks before reading it I had spent a couple of hours trying and I must say failing to understand why including your sexuality seems to be something you share with everyone on social media.

Obviously my teenage “relative” spends a considerable amount of time on social media, however as a web and social media expert so do I! My life as the owner of an escort agency working with some of the sexiest escorts Marbella can provide is a somewhat strange one but it means that I am immersed in social media and technology in a way that most women my age are not.

My “niece” and I both us it very differently with all of my social media exchanges being work focused and her being totally social. I really was a battle as we both have a very different viewpoint. I don’t see that someone you discuss tap dancing or bird watching with needs to know your sexuality, surely its not important to that “ friendship”. To me some things should be private. However her view is that its not important so why not share it.

I am sure that over the next few years we will continue to have many discussions about view points and ideas and I hope that we can agree to disagree and support each other in our views. Time will tell. However it was reassuring to me when looking in an old fashioned actual paper made from paper that others are suffering in the same way.
