Aren’t clichés wonderful? They make life so much easier because they allow us to not actually interact with the real world!

The cliches about our profession are easy to outline. But when you see them written down its amazing how contradictory they are:

All working girls are drug addicts AND
Vast numbers of escorts are posh birds paying for a new shoe wardrobe

Shoes or drugs? Choices, choices...

Shoes or drugs? Choices, choices…

Working girls are the victims of criminal gangs who have sold them into slavery (this despite all the research that puts the numbers at less than 1% of the industry, which is less  than in the manufacture of the posh bird’s shoes) AND
The Hooker with a heart of gold who does the job solely for love is out there on every street corner.

Escorts are just looking for the right man to save them AND
All working girls hate men

Prostitutes are all the victims of male pimps who treat them cruelly AND
Prostitutes all work for female madams who exploit and bully them. AND
Escorts are money grabbing mercenaries just in it for themselves

Prostitutes are poor drug crazed zombies AND
Whores all retire as millionaires

Not hookers!

Not hookers!

Hookers are only doing it to feed their drug habit AND we are all secretly nymphos who love to copulate with anyone and anything at every opportunity

You’re staring to get the point, I’m sure!

Honestly, all of the above statement are true of some people some of the time. I know gorgeous 23 year olds who can’t get work. A good friend of mine is a pensioner grandmother who makes €2500 every day, six days a week, mainly from very satisfied guests in their forties.

I know girls who are lovely but have to shake their heads to generate a thought, and others who have PhDs and IQs that made MENSA swoon.

Some working girls have the bodies of athletes. Some look like they just ate an athlete. Some hate their jobs, some love it.

You know, pretty much like any other job or industry!

I was once told that the only people who should put other people in boxes are undertakers. And I agree with that. Apart from those Dominatrixes whose clients love a bit of sensory deprivation!
